Data Deletion Instructions

What we receive from social platforms

When a business connects Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X or Google to Upkilo, we store only what is needed to publish posts and read reports for that business:

• The account, Page or profile name and its platform ID
• An access token (and refresh token where the platform issues one), stored encrypted
• The posts the business schedules or publishes through Upkilo, and the engagement counts we read back for them

Option 1: Disconnect inside Upkilo

1. Sign in to Upkilo and open Marketing.
2. Find the connected account and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting deletes the stored access and refresh tokens immediately, so Upkilo can no longer reach the account. Disconnecting Facebook also disconnects the Instagram account linked to that Page.

Option 2: Remove Upkilo from the platform

You can revoke Upkilo's access at any time from the platform itself:

• Facebook and Instagram: Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites) → select Upkilo → Remove.
• LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services → Upkilo → Remove.
• X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Upkilo → Revoke access.
• Google: Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access → Upkilo → Remove access.

Removing the app on the platform revokes its access. To also have the data we hold deleted, use Option 3.

Option 3: Ask us to delete the remaining data

To have the account name, ID and post history we hold for a connection deleted as well, email privacy@upkilo.com from the address on your Upkilo account, naming the platform and account. We confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days. This is the same process described in our Privacy Policy.

Content you already published to a platform through Upkilo stays on that platform until you delete it there.
